Static
5:30-8pm Wednesdays, September 30th - November 18th
You can’t be a great filmmaker without seeing the great films. Static gives area students an opportunity to view great and classic film works in a critical environment. Once a week, students watch an important film and then discuss the cinematic and artistic devices used in the film, the film’s impact, and their overall opinion of it all. These critical discussions are a great way for students to increase their analytical abilities as well as their media literacy. It’s also a great environment for students to meet peers with similar interests and to see some films they have heard about but never taken the time to watch.
Tuition: $30
(high school only)

Light House Mentor Day
4-6pm Tuesday, October 28th
Mentors are an integral important part of what we do at Light House. We could not make films without them! This year’s Mentor Day is an opportunity for us to thank our current mentors as well as a chance for us to open our doors to local artists, filmmakers, photographers and educators interested in giving mentoring a try.
Mentors will share experiences and pointers in a relaxed environment over food and drinks. Potential mentors will be given a chance to share their talents and availability in order to be considered for mentor positions for the coming year.
Free: All interested parties welcome
