Before the youth filmmakers even converged at our workshop, they produced 28 short films called a “One-Minute, Jr.” under the theme, "How young people are speaking out, taking action and making a difference."  The One-Minute, Jr. is a format by UNICEF to connect youth filmmakers worldwide.

Once each team produced their One-Minute, Jr. they uploaded it to our web site where it was screened and discussed.  Eight of those films were chosen for further development at the workshop.  Youth filmmakers were divided into eight teams and worked with a professional filmmaker to help facilitate, share experiences and generate new ideas to make the pieces even better.
