Vicki Chan is currently a student at Yale University, though she calls Oakland, CA home. Vicki was the lead producer and interviewer in “Those Who Can...Teach”, which features two outstanding teachers from her former school, Skyline High School, in Oakland, CA. Vicki worked with the Youth Media program based at KDOL studios for most of her high school career. She worked with a team of young producers to find Dawn James, a dance teacher, and Patrick Sears, a physics teacher from Skyline High School, to star in their short documentary about teachers worthy of attention.

Vicki has new ground to conquer, and is using her production skills to break new ground in New Haven, which is less open than her community in Oakland. She is conquering topics such as educational reform, community/university relations and affirmative action she uses her critical thinking skills acquired through her media making background.
