In 1996, Donald Arthur was given six weeks to live. That same year, Margaret Grady lost a son. Depicting the miraculous convergence of two strangers’ lives through the gift of organ donation, Have a Heart tells the story of how one man was literally given a new life as a result of a heart transplant and how a woman found true comfort following a tragedy

How profound!! This piece touched me in a way I never expected it to and that to me is the beauty of media. Amazing story, it gave me a greater sense of what it means to "have a heart" and appreciate life! Great Interviews!

John Autz | June 18, 2007
Definitely touching... it made me think about how there are many other people in the world that go through the same thing that these people went through.
lawrence | June 18, 2007
A phenomenal heart felt story bringing shocking awareness to the tragedies of these diseases and how it can kill. Shows how there is a G-d and that things run in strange ways that somehow fit like a puzzle piece. The kindness of one to another is just amazing.
Lydia | June 17, 2007

i actually know someone who recieved a heart transplant but this film actually got me to think about becoming an organ donar... this is the kind of thing youth films need to do... when i saw this i didnt think it was a youth film... because it has one of the strongest messages out there and it is made in the most professional way ive seen so far from youth media... i really enjoyed it... the director expressed i realy passion for art in the paint and experimental images and at the same time told a compelling story that has the power to change the way people view life... what else could you ask for?
jack | June 14, 2007
Wow! That's all I can say about this documentary! It was really eye opening to see how the recipient of the heart thinks before and after receiving the heart and how the family reacts to the death of their loved one and someone else receiving his heart. This was truely great!
Ilana | June 12, 2007

This movie was absolutely enlightening. In our modern materialistic world it is often easy to forget that we, as people, have an obligation to care for each other. This film reminds us that there is still good in people - that even when they are hurting, they can still make a hard decision in order to give a stranger the greatest gift of all - the gift of life. In that, this film is a great gift to all who watch it.
Susan Vasserman | June 08, 2007

Diana | June 08, 2007
i always knew that that heart is the most important orgen in your body.infact its the "engine" of your body with out your heart you cant live.but watching this movie i learned more about the heart, and people who have heart dieses.no matter what people will always donate. and this movie will also give a message out for people who do not know about the heart how important it really is...
maurice | June 08, 2007
i really liked this video. it wasnt about how people focus on everyday things, it was about something true, something real.

This was very a moving and beautiful account of the two sides of organ donation. I wept as both stories were told. Thank you for creating this wonderful movie.
Gaea Shaw | June 04, 2007
at first i thought the paint was blood and it scared me a little but then i saw what it physically was... and then i saw what it was symbolically... very creative...
daniela | June 03, 2007
WOW! the paint was crazy and really made me feel different about organ donation...
kfir | June 03, 2007
The story was great but and I would really like to hear the story of poochy... and why exactly he was shot... i know it doesn't really mean much to the story of organ donation but i would still like to know the story you should follow up on that...
sam | June 02, 2007
Knowing Donald made this movie more inspiring. This is such a beautiful movie and also very well done. Organ donation is so very important.
Susan | June 02, 2007
i felt there was more of personal and emotional connection to the other film though this films shows how you can use your talent as a film maker to help benifit society! even if only 1 out of 10 people become organ donars or give blood after seeing this... it will still have contributed to a great cause and will have brought up discussion about the topic... a topic we all should talk about....
eli | June 02, 2007
i loved the paint in this film it really helped make it interesting and made it more then just people talking in a documentary.
arielle | June 02, 2007
Awsome! i love how the director crossed experimental imagry with a documentary. the red paint symoblizing the heart and the black as the disease truly captivated me! and Donald is an amazing speaker! him and margrit both have a lot of courage and this story is just so inspiring! i really think that this story needs to be told so that people can understand what it means to truly save a life! great job!
jack | June 01, 2007
There is only one word to describe the film "Awesome"

Have a Heart was an incredible documentary, that I enjoyed from the start to finish. The story is phenomenal, I wasn't quite to be happy or sad becuase of the circumstances. To make a documentary on such a story as this, you have courage and interest in other individuals.
Nurah | May 28, 2007
very insightful
larry | May 28, 2007
great interpretation of the heart (paint dripping)
Lilliana Llamado | May 28, 2007
i enjoyed the symbolism of the black paint splattering over the red which represented the disease that infected the heart and the hand that mixed them together proved very powerful! great job!
sharon | May 28, 2007
All I can say is"WOW". Extremely touching, and a lesson of the gift in which we all have.. Our Heart! Incredible.....
adi cohen | May 28, 2007
I thought the film was very interesting. The fact that one mans heart can live on in another man is both freaky and touching at the same time. To be the man with another mans heart beating inside of him is crazy stuff. I also enjoyed how the film was put together with the paint splattering and wat not
zachary | May 27, 2007

This movie was spectacular. It moved me and changed my way of thinking about life . It was an absolutely wonderful film.
Terrence FItchett | May 26, 2007
I thought this film was very "heart" warming. After watching it I felt like I knew the victim firsthand. I've never really had much contact with a donor before, and this film helped me understand the importance of organ donation, and helping to save another person's life.
sam | May 26, 2007
I personally thought this film was strong and profound. No film has ever made me cry, and it is powerful work. Although this film director's work may be abstruse, to truly understand its profundity is rewarding.
Benny | May 26, 2007
The movie was really inspiring and showed that Isaac really worked hard on this film! I really enjoyed it!
Melissa | May 26, 2007
There is nothing more precious then life itself, and the gift of life. A great short film which tells of one mans tale. A simply organ donation saved his life, and brought about hapiness . Touching!!!
George T | May 26, 2007
It's amazing how deeply "Have a Heart" reaches into your emotions and touches you on an extremely personal level. After just the few minutes of watching this film, I can feel what these people are feeling; when they are happy, I am happy, and when they despair, I find myself on the verge of tears. "Have a Heart" not only allows you to bear witness to a touching tale of heatbreak and rebirth, but it also sends a clear and morally just message of hope.
Steven Velelis | May 26, 2007
