It had good transitions and a good narrative, a good piece for gang violence and crime

Down & Out uses the simplicist means to tell one of the most difficult choices facing young Native American men. I like that the story places the decision within the heart of the main character and that he draws upon his sense of culture to help in that decision.

Young people are often drawn towards groups of their peers who seem to "rule" or are "bad". I believe this piece shows the struggle between wanting to be part of a gang and following the traditions and values of the native american culture...although, it is somewhat hard to follow and could use some tightening up, it brought home the point that joining the group that has bullied you often just means that you will be doing to others what hurt you so badly when it was done to you.

I thought this was a nice, interesting piece. It's in the comedy section although I didn't find it funny - was it meant to be? I like the narration and would be happier without the titles throughout.

It moved a little slow, but it was interesting. I don't really know what happened at the end though. I really liked the way it was put together.

Loved it. In fact, the afro combined with the hoodie was amazing. I really enjoyed the funny aspects of this film, but also like how there is a very strong message. Well done, I loved it when the protagonist sees himself on the drive-by.

It fascinates me that hip hop cultural influences are so prevalent on the reservation. Love the native music.
