Aliens vs. Predator

Aliens vs. Predator

Each year 60,000 undocumented immigrants graduate from high schools across the United States. With recruiters falling short of their targets and casualties mounting in Iraq and Afghanistan, these young people are increasingly being targeted by military recruiters. Aliens Vs Predators is an uncompromising call for justice from a diverse group of young immigrants in New York City.

Good story but the amount of text can be decreased.

Great presentation of the problem, but needs an epilogue informing viewers how to advocate for in-state tuition parity for ALL H.S. grads in all states (like National Council of LaRaza, Casa de Maryland, etc.).

I thought it was good and the music was nice and that acting was motivating to young people to do things with their lives and how somethings just pop out of nowhere and you have to do them

Personally, one of my favorite G.A.P films. The fact that my peers actually care about creating media in order to educate rather than sitting back and letting it stand how it is very impressive. G.A.P is definitely doing its job with the youth. Keep it Up!

i think the music made this film

I really liked how you presented the information in a very clear way, with both an explaination and it in writing. I saw that you used alot of footage that you set up with the teacher and that looks very realistic. Also the presentation of the names of the two students looks all militaristic. Good job!

This shows how minorites are having to pay a price. Very good concept

I'm very excited to see the actual movie when it premeires! The facts were supportive of the topic. The shots used were technically sound and easy to see. The only thing I would say needs to be changed is the titles in the shot of the two students, maybe make them larger or a different color?

This is such an interesting take on American perspectives on undocumented youth. I hope youth continue to make media that advocates for their protection.

Great film. Got to the point without even having the actors talk.

i think it's great that youth are speaking up and are having a say no matter if you an citizen are not .

That video was great!:)

Alien vs. Predator won the judges award for best film at the 2007 Urban Visionaries Youth Film Festival. I could pretty much stop there, but it's important that we understand it is a whole different struggle for non-citizens of this country, especially the youth.

I saw this at the Urban Visionaries Youth Film Festival Video Slam and I really loved it -- and so did the audiences!

I like how you take a serious subject and not only inform the viewer about how the military prey's on undocumented citizens as "easy recruits," but also deliver the information in a fun way. I would prefer the video (I think) if there were more sound (either dialogue or street sounds or room sound) but I like it all the same! Great job!
