My Listen Up!

Step 1: Preparing Your Media for Submission

Create an MPEG-4 file at 320x240 or 640x426.

MPEG-4's are easy to create in just about any editing program. The most common program for youth filmmakers is Apple's Final Cut Pro, but you can also use Avid Express and Adobe Premier as long as you have Quicktime Pro. We provide clear instructions on how to convert your movie to an MPEG-4 file for several programs -- find instruction guides in the right-hand column.

Why MPEG-4?

MPEG-4 rocks. The quality is simply extraordinary. It's also the industry standard for online video. The only downside is the large file size, so it might take some time to upload. But it's really worth the wait!

What if I can't export to MPEG-4?

If you cannot export to MPEG-4, you will need to buy Quicktime Pro. Then you export whatever format you can, and use Quicktime Pro 7 to convert your video files into MPEG-4. With Quicktime Pro, open up the movie you want to convert. Then go to "File > Export", select "Movie to iPod(320X240)" and click "save".

Step 2: Fill Out Submission Form and Upload!

Please fill out the required information, select your media file, and press the "Submit" button. Note that MPEG-4 files are big and uploading can take a while.
