About Youth Media in Practice
YMIP is the most comprehensive guide to youth media education, serving as an interactive canon of media, language, pedagogy and dynamic research. YMIP encompasses Projects of Change, an online gallery of the most promising practices in our field, a Practitioners Curricula Gallery and Glossary and access to archived resources at listenup.org. This video includes spoken word poetry, Barbie animation, a mockumentary about "coming out" straight in a gay world, and short self-portraits about racial identity. The video became the subject of a distribution and outreach campaign resulting in mediated peer-led about homophobia and heterosexism before large audiences in a dozen different states.

POC is an on-line gallery of case studies featuring original media projects made by youth along with first account stories of how they came about. This richly textured multimedia site offers in depth exploration of the signature educational, social change and media production strategies that practitioners used in working alongside the young producers, writers and artists to make media that make change.
